7.00-8.30pm (Free refreshments from 6.00)

All Welcome!

Dorothy Bishop is Professor of Developmental Neuropsychology in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society, and an expert on children’s communication and language who pioneered the study of twins to identify genetic influences. On Twitter, @DeeVyBee is a passionate advocate of open science, and a savage critic of poor statistics in research. In this lecture, she will look at some of the causes of “bad science”: maybe our brains are just not wired right for thinking scientifically?
